As a traveler I have explored many countries and places. Seen many unusual things, spots, remote areas where people visited rarely. I have written about many places and the flora and fauna found there which even the professional travelers haven’t gone. And they liked my reviews also.
So this time selected Goa to see less popular places nearby. I planned my trip with places like Bubbling Lake in Netravali, Fort Tiracol, and Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. After seeing those places I got to know many unique things which I will like share.
Netravali is a very attractive place to visit and it filled with greenery, luscious forests, and beautiful waterfalls. But the most famous place among the locals is the Bubbling Lake in the compound of Gopinath Temple. People say the holy idols were delightful; the place is sacred for them, it is with pond where water emits bubbles also.
The scientists think the water emits bubbles because it consists of sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, methane or limestone. The youngsters and kids finds it very much interesting, with a loud clap it can made again & again to the water surface. All people enjoys it very much, comes nearby areas and visit daily. The place is also known as Budbud Tali or the Budbuyanchi Tali. It’s a must visit place for all tourists.
I got excited to see the other places also which I have selected. Then I visited to Fort Tiracol, it is located in the northern tip of Goa in the front of Tiracol River, anyone can reach by taking ferry from Querim, 42 km North of Panaji. This fort was built by Maharaja Khem Sawant Bhonsle, the Raja of Sawantwadi, in the 17th century. It initially consisted of 12 guns, a barrack and a chapel. It gives beautiful view of Arabian Sea. It is also famous for freedom fighters from Goa. Now it is converted into a heritage hotel, it’s good for families to stay there and to try their delicious barbeque grills dishes. A complimentary continental dishes is served every morning there. After enjoying these facilities I visited to another rarely known place the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary to experience the raw nature.
The smallest wildlife sanctuary is the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary among the three wildlife sanctuaries in Goa. It is also popular as a jungle resort with tourist cottages is famous among the nature lovers. The animals like the Gaur and the Sambhar deer are generally seen. It is closed on Mondays. There are tour buses that make a halt at Bondla from Margao and Panaji. School picnics are also organized for the attraction of the sanctuary. It has a Mini Zoo, Deer Safari Park, Formal Gardens, Botanic Gardens and Eco-Tourism Cottages. The area is covered with Moist Deciduous Forests, with small space of Evergreens and Canes.
Leopards, panthers, deer, spotted hog, mouse, wild boars, leopard cat, toddy cat, and Malabar giant squirrels are commonly found in there.
To see more nature trails, lakes and waterfalls you must visit to these places of Goa. These place are not very much famous but it visited optinally.
